Ten Days and Counting . . . 1 - 2 - 3

Well there are only about 10 more days left until Ms. Sarai's 1st birthday and her TiTi's 40th birthday party. After all my planning (cuz I've been literally planning in my mind since last year and actively planning since June) and the lovely invitations that were sent out and what not, how come only TWO, yes 2 people responded by calling to say if there were coming? *shakin head* My family is horrible cuz when we all hung out this past Sunday at "Race for the Cure" they were all hyped and like, "ohhh the invitations were soooo pretty" and "ohhh we all gonna be there." And I said "well sh*t ain't nobody r.s.v.p'd like the invitations said!" (and yes I gave them a date to do it by). And they were like "you know we coming!" Lord, why black folks feel like they just suppose to show up to stuff? And my family know that I don't cook at these events AND they know I'm uptight. *lookin into camera* LOL. So even tho only 2 people have actually really called and r.s.v.p.'d, so far I have 15 guests. That's my folks for you.

Other than that, everything is moving right along. I'll just be glad when next week get's here so I can kick it up into OVER DRIVE. LOL. You'd think I had nothing better to do . . . . dayum actually I don't have anything better to do. I'm tryna half prep the house for the cleaning people by washing the rugs and putting away extra stuff on the counters like the blender, cook books, etc. I'm gonna need all the counter space and family room space I can get. And I don't want to be running around the same day of the party tryna get sh*t together. So the rest of week I'm washing all the little floor rugs throughout house, and next week I'm gonna have My Hunny get all his stuff out the guest bedroom and put take the girls toys out of the back yard and put them in the garage. I just really don't want to have to do ANYTHING come next Friday but rest.

Okay, I guess I'm done. Plus I think those shortbread cookies I made yesterday are calling my name. YUMMY!

Love, Lady Richardson

ooh party planning mode. it's difficult but oh so worth it to plan an event for your loved ones.

the baby won't remember a thing so take lots and lots of pictures but i'm sure your Hunny will cherish both events.

family doesn't think RSVP means them so don't trip. they coming and if they're like my family they coming late:-)

Ms. Ahmad I'm telling you, I used to be cooking for days like a dayum slave when massa was gaving a 10 day celebration. LOL. I'd be so dayum tired I couldn't eat or enjoy the party. Once I got hip to the catering thing, it's was like I'd found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I don't think I'll ever cook again for another party.

Let a sistah know when you cooking cuz I sure do like eat! ;-)
